Our menu has a good choice of starters and main courses to suit most tastes plus a selection of homemade desserts. 
The majority of the menu is created and cooked at Kirkby House ensuring you have that authentic home cooked taste. 
You can see a sample of our menus below.

To Start 

Chefs homemade soup 
Freshly made Broccoli and Cropwell Bishop Stilton soup tender broccoli heads and the king of blue cheese combine to make this classic soup served with Crusty bread and dairy butter 
 
Kirkby House Duck and Orange Pate 
Pieces of our own smooth duck liver pate with orange scattered on a bed of fresh leaves bread and dairy butter finished with red onion chutney. 
 
Chefs Crayfish platter 
Fresh water cray fish served on a bed of leaves topped in prawn sauce and balsamic glaze finished with slices of stoned baked baguette and butter. 
 
Chilled fanned melon 
Fresh Melon chilled and fanned, drizzled with a coulis made from pure mango. 

Main Courses 

Traditional crown of Norfolk turkey 
Norfolk roasted turkey with stuffing and all the traditional trimmings. 
 
English stuffed and rolled belly of Pork 
English pork with a homemade apricot stuffing & crackling apple sauce and creamy mashed potato. 
 
Chicken Italiano 
Lean Breast of chicken stuffed with creamy mozzarella sundried tomato and pepperoni, rolled in Parma ham, glazed in a tomato and mascarpone sauce. 
 
Scottish Darne of Salmon 
Scottish Darne of Salmon a prime filet of salmon oven baked then drizzled in a lemon butter sauce. 
 
All served with locally produced seasonal vegetables and twice cooked rosemary roasted potatoes. 
 

Desserts 

Traditional Plum Pudding 
Christmas pudding, a dome of plum pudding served with vanilla custard.

Eaton mess, served in a tall glass, dressed in fresh raspberries and cream.

This is the classic New York baked cheesecake with a rich and creamy vanilla topping and a gluten-free biscuit base.

Prime Roasted beef generously sliced served with a hand raised Yorkshire the usual trimmings and our rich gravy 
 
Tagliatelle Arrabiata (V) 
Tagliatelle tossed in a chilli and tomato arrabiata sauce with sauté Mushrooms mixed peppers with oregano and parmesan. 
 
English stuffed and rolled belly of Pork 
English pork with a homemade apricot stuffing crackling apple sauce cider gravy and creamy mashed potato. 
 
Honey Baked Ham 
Whole Gammon that has been glazed with demerara sugar and honey oven baked and generously sliced.
